David is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Truehelm. He manages all aspects of the legal and compliance functions, including coordinating external counsel, advising the investment team, and managing the firm’s compliance process to ensure fund compliance with various regulatory requirements. David has extensive experience as a leader in the legal and compliance fields. David serves as the chair Truehelm’s Risk & Compliance Committee and its ESG Committee.

Prior to joining Truehelm in 2019, David held a variety of legal and compliance roles with Invesco, Berkshire Group, and Goldman Sachs. David began his professional career in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Officer serving in 5th Fleet Headquarters (Bahrain) and onboard the USS Cole.

David earned a B.S. in Quantitative Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy, as well as a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He is also a member of the Minnesota and New York Bar.
